2008 GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP RULESQUALIFYING: Teams must fish at least five tournament to qualify for the Grand Championship (GC). Team members must fish together. In the event one member is unable to fish, the other member may fish alone. No substitutions. All qualifying rules apply.
CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS OF THE YEAR POINT SYSTEM: All tournaments are scored in pounds and ounces with points awarded for the place of finish to determine the final standing. Tournaments are worth a total of 150 points each. There is a one point difference between places of finish for teams weighing in fish at tournaments. Teams that do not weigh in fish will receive points equal to 10 points less than the last place team weighing fish.Championship Teams His and Her: Any female paired with a male 18 and older.Championship Teams Youth and Adult: Anyone age 18 and older paired with anyone under age 16 as of 03/2/08.Championship Teams Team of the Year, Championship Teams His and Her of the Year and Championship Teams Youth and Adult of the Year will be determined by the team with the highest points in each category. Teams must fish a qualifying tournament in addition to the GC in order to receive year-end awards in these categories. Any team participating in the special categories named above, will have to declare at the first tournament the team fishes, which category the team will be competing. Any team qualifying for two awards will receive the award of the greatest value. No switching to another category allowed. In addition, the Largest Creel of the Year and the Big Fish of the Year will be awarded at the GC tournament.Any ties in the Teams of the Year categories will be broken by pounds and ounces.Contact us at: Tournament Marine Corp.
